I, my sister, and my kid brother attended the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the mass at 9:30 this morning. It is so appreciating to note that a gentleman and another lady called my sister and me (respectively) to sit in spaces of 2 pews (for each of us). The mass ended at 10:30AM, and then my brother suggested we have our brunch of stir-fry noodles in a restaurant, New Life. My son was left at home because he still has swollen cheek due to tooth extraction. The location of the New Life ‘pansiteria’ is along the highway but we have to descend to reach the ‘bahay kubo’ (nipe hut). I mentioned to my siblings that the location is the house of my childhood friend who died last 2004. Then I saw the name of the ‘pansiteria’. It was “AL’s NEW LIFE PANSITERIA”. I then thought this is owned by my childhood friend Au because I recall I attended their wedding with my son as the Bible bearer, and the token was a small fan with the printed names of ‘AL and AU”. I saw an older brother of Au (+) but the servers do not know if the other siblings of Au are still alive. I wanted to talk to Al but he was nowhere in sight. I had P60 (regular), my sister had P70 (special), and my brother had P90 (extra special). My son was brought home a P70. I may say the stir-fry noodles tasted so good that was why it won the best noodles last city’s feast. I am now thinking when the next ‘pansit session’ will be.

my brother is busy with his business here, and an invitation from him is rare. we enjoyed the siblings-of-3 reunion

new life is so appropriate for a panciteria. all along, i thought you were the youngest (bunso) among your siblings.

i am the youngest between 2 sisters, but i am the 5th in the brood of 6. long life for pansiteria, and the new life means resurrection.

@hereandthere no, the 4th brother who is also a nurse, lives and has a house in UK. my 2 older brothers are in the capital city while the youngest and the oldest sibling-my only sister- is living with me here in our ancestral house.

we Filipinos consider pansit or stir-fry noodles as main dish or it can be eaten with rice. they are both carbohydrates.

yes, they are yummy. in fact, the food store was the first prize for a competition last feast day of my city, on August 16.
