SUMMER 2017 - MEMORABLE OR FORGETTABLE?

For most of us, summer is over - kids are in school and it's back to our normal routine until the next big holiday season - Christmas. But how was your summer 2017 ? Was it good, bad or in between?
I would say mine was in between - and how could I forget that most unwelcome visitor hurricane Irma ?. Even though our island was not impacted, every time I take a shower I think of the thousands of Irma's victims who will not be enjoying that luxury for some time. And as if that isn't bad enough - Maria - the latest tropical storm is set to take strike at some of those same islands again.
So how was your summer - memorable or forgettable?

Our summer was not good at all. =( We lost our home and because of that we couldn't do anything enjoyable with our kids. My husband had shingles for a few weeks too. I hate life sometimes but I know this too shall pass and things will get better.

Mine started out strange, I kept getting stung by strange insects we have never had here before. Otherwise it was just an in between kinda summer like most are.
My prayers are with not just the victims of the storms but also with Mother Earth, she is in need of repair too.

Overall, mine was spent in recovery since having the Surgery the end of May. Still hard to believe we are in the middle of September already, and Fall is upon us. Overall, I wish Summer 2017 for me could have been better.

I'm glad to hear Lee isn't going to impact the islands. They do need a break. My summer was good. Unlike a lot of areas in the US we didn't get too hot here. It didn't reach 90 once, which in my book, makes that a good summer since I'm not good with heat. I finished a book. Still waiting for it to publish, and started another. So it was good.

Mine was quiet, it was pretty hot this summer so hubby and I didn't do as much camping or fishing that we would have liked to. The older I get the less I can tolerate the heat.

Mine was mixed. I spent most of the time working and not spending a lot of time with my children so that wasn't good. However, the time I did spend with them was lovely. Our holiday was certainly memorable as we spent time with my step-daughters and granddaughters and went to my eldest step-daughter's wedding. So that was nice.

Just your opening line 'summer is over' is very soothing to read.I will say the brutal summer was spoiler of many good things that actually happened during the summer itself-better job and new car.I am eager to say it Good bye and good riddance.

Being my favorite time of year it was enjoyable. I like being out in the sun, wearing shorts and t-shirts and going to the beach. Got to listen to a few local bands perform and socialize with friends and family, play some golf. So, my summers are never forgettable.
