There were 30 to 50% chance of some thunderstorms today and up until about the last 30 minutes there have been a few raindrops here and there but nothing notable. I was in a cooking mood today. I made spaghetti sauce using lean ground beef green pepper onion garlic mushrooms canned tomatoes tomato paste tomato sauce and seasoning. That cooled and I divided it into three containers that I will freeze. Before that I had taken two large pieces of chicken out of the freezer and defrost them and put them in the oven to bake seasoned with garlic some onion powder and Rosemary those finished cooking so I uncovered them, drizzled a little olive oil on top and finished baking them for the last 15 minutes uncovered and those are now done. Next I am going to prepare some pork chops, actually they are pork sirloin steaks that I took out of the freezer yesterday and defrosted. I am going to pan sear them with seasoning and olive oil and then my plan is to slice up some russet potatos and line the bottom of a baking dish with those and once the pork chops have been seared on both sides, I will lay them on top of the potatoes and put them in the oven to bake.

Your pic is upside down! LOL. I bought a ham at Aldi today and we are going to have a boiled dinner. Been a long time since I prepared a boiled dinner so my husband will be in hog heaven. I have ground beef that I hope to cook up to make meat sauce for a lasagna. Have had the ingredients for it since last week, but it has been too hot to use the oven. I may fix the lasagna and cook it on the grill tomorrow. This heat wave is lovely, but not good when you have to cook or bake.
