A sermon that hit me in the nail

I went to church yesterday evening, which is something I rarely do. It has probably something to do with the satanic rosary I tried to get rid of but at the same I did want to pay a visit and pray. It was the perfect time, because the priest sermon had to be about forgiveness. Forgive the person who has caused harm to you. The reasons were that it could set your free and possibly restart your relationship with that person in a new heights. And if you don't forgive, then DON"T expect God to forgive you specially once you die. I was listening to it until to the point were it hits you. I mean how can you forgive some one how has caused you hard and gets away with it...Specially if they gets away with it all the time. That's the question that's buzzing around my head when I heard this sermon. Should I trust the fact that God will just punish him if he doesn't apologize or forgive in his or her experience? The explanation by the priest says God always forgives anyways so why not do it your self as an example by Christ himself. But I agree that we don't forgive we are closing ourselves to a smaller corner in our hearts and burn down bridges that's been damage by sin. What do you think? I'm a sinner myself, perhaps it's for the best. I won't live forever anyway.

Well it is good to be Christ like, and forgive if we can Letran. I firmly believe that we should try to attain this as God will forgive us all our sins when we pass on. Why was the rosary Satanic that you have? Good to know you were moved to go to church.

Trust me its never easy to forgive especially if the person really hurt you but when you think about the blessings you will hold back by not doing so it makes it easier to forgive. Don't give a person so much power over you.Give it to Jesus and He will handle the situation for you.Trust me He knows better than you do.
Hello @Kind4321 You're right. Those people who has harm me in the past are far away from me, they are no longer here. That's exactly what the priest said, I had no idea that people will have power on you when you don't forgive. Thank you for your advice.

I am so burning in Hell. I had been hooking up with strangers from Tinder doing casual one night stand with women I just met because I am not able to commit.I have not been in Church for 3 years and My Twitch streaming channel is filled with Fbombs because my subscribers thinks cursing is cool.
I think we all forgive easily (as in, not revenge!). God doesn't order us to forget however, since He gives us the ability to memorise in the first place. We remember, in order not to do the same mistake of trusting those bad people again. Take it in that context, you are not a sinner my friend. We will keep thinking 'how could they (the baddies) do that!' etc but we will never go out of our way to torture those bad people, right?
