I saw you standing there your eyes fashing A Sudden rush to my hert whats with Me He has a certain sense of humor so what He is selling bibles you are a nurses aide. 'Whoever he is thats just an off whim of mine. This is what I felt when I was told the fellow' selling bibles asked who the nurses aide was 'who was watching him? She told me laughing Clark whoever he was hes gone. Si I kept that odd little interlude stored in my mind. Time p;assed and my folks wanted to move to Aarizona for my dads arthritis. I bored with my job in Rapid city went with them I soon foumd a job as a nurses side in St Luke's in Phoenix.I loved the staff amd then one happy day I met him again He thrust out his hand and those eyes sparkled' again with laughter."I am Garland Hatley your new orderly Patsie, They sent me to help you ,make tjat suirgcal bed. Wow let me show you a better way.'" I must have looked upset as he said"always more than one way to ,nake a surgical bed.: He again took ,my hamd for one moment. Wow sparkls flew between us as he smiled at me his voice was soft"Dont be mad I'm newer than you." Love at first sight. He asked me to the movies in Tempe where I lived After word we talked at a small cafe over coffee. It was like we had known each other all our lives Six weeks later we got marred. All the things' my best friends sister had told me reading my palm, started to come true. We were tja happiest of happy campers as I became pregnant twice and' we had two children and lost our daughter at age 8. So t this my love story lookig back over decades now at 90 years old.Even knowing how bitter sweet some years were I would never have had them otherwise as we had something few people accomplished. Unconditional love. I was so lucky as he accepted me just as i was and I loved him too Oh we had our ups and downs unconditionally as he had colon cancer, recovered completly from that'but died ten years later from the results of smoking three packs of cigarettes a day. He died of the fifth heart attack on our 33 weddimg anniversary March 26 1991 so it came crashing to a halt. but I did have a ton of ]really happy memories. He of the laughing brown eyes I have told my love story I challenge you to tell yours. One original post and graphic by P Hatley copyrighted 2017 ]
