Accidental Recipe

Have you ever messed up a recipe, only to have it turn out pretty good? I did that today. My grandbaby and I were making banana pudding. We needed two boxes of banana creme pudding. I didn't realize until I opened the box, that instead of two of the same, I had accidentally got a box of coconut creme pudding. I decided to mix the two. The taste of the final project was different, but pretty good. I liked it enough to make again.
So who has a similar story and a recipe to share?

Wow thats good ! It happened with me once, I was preparing a new dessert recipe.It dint turn out to be anything like it was supposed to be but finally what was made was cherished by the whole family. They wanted me to make it again but I never could repeat because I made it accidentally...

That is how most meals are made, from accidents haha! I never mash bananas well enough when I make cakes, but people always enjoy random chunks of bananas left in the cake, so I just keep up with it haha

You are right. I remember that happened often, when I was young. My mom was an amazing cook. If she was not experimenting, she was changing recipes up by accident. I miss those days.
