How do you fight your depressive moments?

I'm pretty sure I've got depression. Maybe not the strongest type of it, but it has been bothering for a long time for sure. I personally either try to focus my mindset on the goals I want to achieve, or keep my dark thoughts away. Videos and lectures of Jordan Peterson really helped me out - I repeat to myself "Stop doing the things you know are wrong" daily. What are your ways to fight the dark days? Have you completed the treatment? Tell me your story.

I experience depression too when things don't work out the way I want them to. My advice is to try to see the positive side of things. Music can also help.

I must say that I am never tried to experience severe depression. If I am in a spell of depression, I just travel to reboot my energy in facing the world again.

Yes! I sometimes get depressed especially when I don`t see any improvements on my effort

I hope you will get over from this soon. I'll include you in my prayers. In my case, I pray and reflect on what went wrong and after pouring out all of my emotions to God and after crying, I then tell myself that everything will be alright soon and I have to continue moving on because I know it will pass and I know God is with me.

Depression is a bad thing I suffer from it because when stuff goes down it really hits me hard. Doctors try to pop me up on pills I am like this If im not hurting no one god made me this way I am not going to chemically change it.

when i get depressed I do something I love for instance i can go for a road trip,talk to a friend whom I know will make me laugh,go for a swim or do taebo. I also most importantly pray and listen to motivational sermons.

True. I have been struggling with this as of late too. Keeping goals in mind, try to make time for yourself and hobbies and doing best to keep a positive attitude!

Jordan Peterson is a great motivator!! He takes a lot of abuse too poor guy. I can say I have come a long way compared to how depressed I was back in the days gone by. I help it by keeping appts with a counselor which will be ending soon and by keeping busy and exercising as in walking..just hopping on a train or bus helps me..I dont have a car. I wish you luck in your project of beating depression.

I just completed watching a movie, which I saw was a therapy to my sorror encountered yesterday. Imagine I lost quit amount of cash true betting.

I always keep myself busy, doing some important things. Sometimes I go out with friends.
