When I was young, I used to borrow comic books from the school library. My mom also took me to the local bookshop to read comic books for free. Two of my favorites are Archie and Friends while the other is Peanuts. My younger brother collects Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Flash, X-men and many more comic books. He read them, packed them nicely and resell them. My mom would pay for his comic books but not for me. I could only borrow comic books My son loves Chinese comic books, he bought them in school book fair and the book shop with his pocket money. However, we allow him to purchase comic books only when he did well in his examinations or birthday present. What are your favorite childhood comic books? photo from wikipedia

I borrowed from the library or read at the book store, standing there for hours is tiring.

we had archie comics, too, and tintin. my youngest sister and nieces, though, are more into japanese manga. it's good that your son knows how to save and that you let him buy comic books as a reward.

@peachpurple 80% is a reasonable grade, so i'm glad you and your husband are firm about that.

yes, his dad taught him . However my son complained that his classmates get 3 comic books if scored 50% of any of the subject. This is not right. 50% is only Grade D, I told my son he has to get Grade A= 80% in order to buy ONE comic book. Don't let him obtain the comic books easily , otherwise he doesn't treasure them.

I loved Archie and there is a show on Netflix called Riverdale with Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jug in. I like it. I also love Peanuts too. Now, I watch Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and the DC comic shows on Netflix and love them.

I like, almost all of them. Archie comics were my favorite when I was in the mood for a good laugh. For action, DC and Marvel topped the list. My favorite Superheroes are Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Captain America.
