Friends who are not real friends

Having friends around who really care for you is a blessing, if they are sincere and trustworthy. When I was studying in school, I do not have many friends then because I was not a popular student, bad grades, so-so looks and a shortie. After I had finished secondary school, we had lost contact since everyone went to each own ways, some married, some studied overseas, some went to hunt for jobs and some went to local universities to study. Presently, I have 3 ex-school mate friends whom I had contacted through Facebook but they are not my real buddies, just a casual friends. They are not" A friend in need is a friend indeed". Not someone whom you can rely on when you needed a shoulder to cry on. I rather have Virtual friends at Mylot as my best buddies. Do you have real friends in life? Still contact each other? Any best buddies?

I have friends in real life. most of them I categorize as friend.. they are type of friends who borrows money to me, and after couple of days they'll give to me what they borrowed.. "I always forgot things specially about money" so there are times they giving me money and asking "why!? I didn't ask for money i'm fine.." then they'll say "I borrowed a money to you!" and i'm be like.. oh really? I forgot it already! I still have contact to them sometimes.. since we're now separated in different companies..

@peachpurple That is why I'm lucky to have them.. I'm not good in remembering money.. but they're going to pay you even if you already forgotten.. I lend them ranges from $10-$20 if I have extra..

No, I went to a class whereby people care only for themselves, and in their own groups. I was skipping lunch time then until I was gastric because I would not like to be seen alone in the canteen. I was very unhappy when I was in form 4 and form 5. Until I went to college, there are few of best mates to hang out with and now when I was working I still feel lonely and prejudiced. So I decided to work at home to feel better about this thing. What about you?

wow, you are having a hard time during secondary school days. I have a few friends but they are the materialistic ones. Just ignore the negative sides because I needed to copy their homework ! Anyway, how is your gastric pain? Recover already? College life in KL is like a rat race, either you got to have brains or beauty or money. If you have neither one, it is hard to survive there. Did you managed to get your diploma or degree?

I moved to another country after I married, so I am no more in touch with ex-school mates, but I have a few real good friends.

I do have a very good friend. We do things together and even went on vacation together last year. We're both writers and belong to the same writer's group. It's where we met. I have many virtual friends here in myLot and I value all of them.

@peachpurple Only at the class reunion and I probably won't be going to anymore of those. The last one really let me know what they thought of me. It's best I just stay away from that crowd. I didn't have a lot of friends in school and those friends don't go to the class reunions. I haven't seen them since I graduated.

Glad that you had some friends of the same interest. How about your ex schoolmates, not in contact anymore?

I have about 5 or 6 good "in real life" friends that I see every week or couple of weeks. I need people in real life to do things with!

it is difficult to find real buddies that could share underwears together. Most are selfish or looking for any benefits. How about work mates?
