That fresh squeaky clean feel :)

Early this morning, I had my every 6 month teeth cleaning at the Dentist. I have gone to this particular Dentist for 25 years or more. The Dental Hygienist has worked on my teeth for years. She is real professional with a steady hand. She does a great job cleaning my teeth. Always, right afterwards for some hours, I have that fresh clean feel in my mouth and it feels great! We have that kind of Dental Insurance that allows for 2 free cleanings a year (every 6 months). Of course if I or a family member would have a lot of work done on teeth during the year, like cavities filled or root canals, there is a cap on the cost in a year. If I would go over that, then the cleanings would not be free. Luckily, I haven't had any major things done , so the cleanings are free. My son already maxed out his this year because he had his wisdom teeth out. He did have to pay for his recent 6 month cleaning.

Our dentist has a sliding scale so even if I didn't have the government insurance I would still only have to pay a few dollars for cleanings with as low as our income is.

I do love that clean feeling as well. I have mine done 4 times a year because I am diabetic an they will see any problems before it gets bad, so far I have had no problems for years. I do have to pay out of pocket but its only $45 per cleaning at the clinic.

Yes, my son was in a lot of pain and I remember when I had it done as a teen, I couldn't eat solid food for a week.
