"Mine goes to 11" - 11 factoids about me

I was inspired to write this by a post by @LoriAMoore  So it's pretty straight forward  - for my 11 facts I will pick ones that I don't think most people on here know about me.   I always like reading these types of posts about others :-) 1) I have an anxiety disorder called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  Low grade depression, too. 2)  I'm Spiritual, but not religious.  I haven't found a church that feels like home yet - and sometimes the ocd makes that search difficult.  However I value God, the Bible and one time I read the Bible chapter by chapter.  It took me about 3 years of reading a chapter or more, a day. 3) I have a lot of self doubt and insecurity 4) In spite of fact #3 I love performing - community theater in the past, dance now, and playing in bands (bass guitar). I may pursue dj'ing at a local radio station. 5) And I dance burlesque.  That's my newest thing.  It has been a really healing journey for me, filled with people overcoming their own insecurities. It is permission to act confident and flirtatious within an art form that gives you exercise and art. (Not to mention sparkly costumes). 6) I have allergies to cats but I love cats 7) My favorite color is Indigo 8)  I like movies that are dystopian in nature 9) While there are exceptions - I mostly get along best with people 10-15 years older than myself.  10)  I have a thing about numbers, - this number makes me uncomfortable. 11) I have a great appreciation for 80s rock - thus the title of this post "Mine goes to 11"which is from the movie "Spinal tap"(A rock music "mockumentary".) That's great to know about you. It does take about 3.5 years to read the Bible a chapter at a time.

@FayeHazel That's why it's important to keep reading it. I've read it through many times. I started my current Bible study a couple years ago and I'm still in the Old Testament.

Oh wow - we're just opposites there. Hope you're doing good - the struggle is real. I know we both like "Monk" - I find the humor very appropriate - don't you?

Dystopian doesn't depress you? Did you ever see The Book of Eli with Denzel Washington? It's dystopian mixed with spirituality.

No - they don't. Strange isn't it? They actually make me feel hopefully. Maybe my brain is backward or something. Ha. "Book of Eli" sounds exactly like my tastes.

Hi there, nice to learn more about you :) . I have a thing where everything needs to be in a certain place, I have lines in my mind for where my sofas, tv and coffee table need to be and I can tell when something has been moved slightly.

I have a child named for your favorite color. Which is your favorite dystopian movie right now?

@FayeHazel We were actually looking at botanical names and it was a suggested one... I thought it was interesting and unique, and that just became the right name. Ah, that's a good movie! Does Blade Runner count as a dystopian film? I also like City of Lost Children and the Mad Max series and Dark City.

@spiderdust Oh that is so cool about the name "Indigo". Do you shorten it to "Indy" at times? Oh yeah! I think "Blade Runner" counts and "City of Lost Children" (haven't watched it in a long time 'cause you gotta read the subtitles and looooooove "Dark City" too. You have excellent taste in movies! Though I admit, I only saw the very newest "Mad Max"

No way! I love that you named your child "Indigo". What inspired it? Is it a favorite of yours, too? Currently I've been real into "They Live" - John Carpenter ... do you enjoy Dystopian stuff too? Nice to meet yoU!
