I Wanted To Be A Stand Up Comedian - - I Am Not Kidding!

When I was a kid, I wanted to become a priest. My late mother, who was very religious, was so happy that she told our parish priest about it. After graduating from the elementary grades, I entered the seminary. Sadly, I lost my vocation when I was in college (4th year). I finished my Bachelor's degree in another catholic school. After my college graduation I worked as a lowly clerk in an insurance agency office in our town, where I met a stand up comedian from the big city (Manila). He was hired to entertain during the campaign rally of our mayor. He brought the house down! I whispered to myself - "I want to be a stand up comedian!" Sadly, I neither became a priest nor ended up a stand up comedian. O, well, at least I became a "sit-down comedian" online. I was a sit-down comedian in dead Bubblews and now here in myLot. It makes me smile to make pretty ladies laugh and goodlooking guys fart! When you were a kid, what did you want to be?

When I was young I wanted to be a nurse, then a teacher, then a cashier. Lol. I remember Father was laughing when I told him I wanted to be a cashier in a store. Then I wanted to be an actress, a singer and a dancer, then a Policewoman - I took up Criminology in college. Then I wanted to be a model, and now all I wanted is to live more years.

@JustBhem You wanted to become a policewoman? You should have not turned your back on becoming a policewoman. Why you make a lot of money being a cop!

@JustBhem Look . . money talks in the Philippines. When I graduated from college, I was just 20 years old. Big companies during that period (not Jurassic period) like Philamlife were hiring applicants not younger than 21. So, my late father paid 50 pesos to somebody in our municipal court to issue me a fake birth certificate showing that I was 21 years old. You could have done similar thing (paying 100 thousand pesos) so that the one who was taking your height and weight would have written that you were 5"10" and weighing 150 lbs. Problem solved . .

. I wanted to be a heart surgeon, but became a teacher. Too bad I couldn't do both at the same time.

@DianneN Heart surgeons heal/replace ailing hearts; a teacher enrich the brains of girls and boys. Surgeons save a life; teacher prepares boys and girls to face life.

Oh, you surely can be a good stand-up comedian and beat Vice -Ganda if ever you pursue it. You never fail to make me smile and laugh with your jokes. Maybe had you pursued that, you are already a celebrity like Pokwang, Vice Ganda , Poo and a lot more.

@ridingbet You are destined to be one! But a nurse should be tough as far as taking care of the human body. How come you got scared at and hesitated to clean the big batongtong of a patient when you were working in Qatar?! No good!

@TiarasOceanView .. . Not a bad occupation, my friend. One of daughters-in-law is a successful hairstylist . . Making more than 500 dollars a day is not surprising. By the way, I know also how to cut hair and a bit of sewing (I got a Brother sewing machine). Don't ask me if I tried to cut my own hair . . I did. My daughter repaired it. . . hahaha

I still can't believe that my dad wants me to be a priest after all these years. But when I was young I actually wanted to be a painter and making exhibitions. I saw myself as an potential architect and model house maker but that never happened.
