With Summer ending on September 21st and Autumn beginning the following day, I got to thinking about my favorite things I will miss about this season. Here are my "Top 5." 1. Waking up each morning and wearing shorts and t-shirts each day. No serious wardrobe decisions for me is a plus. 2. Longer daylight hours. Means more sun time for sports, walks, biking and gardening. 3. Sitting on the beach on a nice 85 degree day with a light breeze and blue sky. An added bonus, taking a dip in the ocean, watching the surfers ride the waves, and doing my favorite crossword puzzles. 4. As touched upon in #2 beautiful weather to play your outdoor activities mine being golf. 5. Day trips and sight seeing. Maybe a picnic or visiting some historic place comes to mind. How about you? Anything you enjoy about Summer to add to my list. Or maybe something from my list you would like to expound upon?

@amadeo Yes Alfredo, there a many farms about 35 minutes from my home. Although I live in a suburban town, there are many farm markets and farms around the area (Southern NJ). Do you have farm markets or farms where you live?

Spring and Fall are two favorite seasons. I like the longer days of summer but not the hot humidity. It is nice to be able to wear lighter clothing rather than bundling up in coats, boots, etc for those harsh winter months.

I agree about the humidity. Even with the lightest clothing it can be oppressive! I just dislike the freezing snowy weather more. But Autumn is nice.

I miss not having to work but getting paychecks again is nice. I also miss the longer daylight hours. I hate when it gets dark early.

Well, cycling/mountain biking for sure, hiking. This summer was over entirely too soon.
