So, last night I went to Alexandria for my focus group. It was kind of a nice, high end office building just across from the metro. The location is very convenient. Anyway, I visited the facilities while I was there and there was an automatic soap dispenser. I was thinking oh nice..but then I got no water out of the faucet. I tried several and no dice..I though it was automated and then noticed a little handle. I tried that as well..no water!! Here I am with soapy hands and no water available. So, I went to the towel dispenser.(.automatic of course) and was able to wipe them off..Did you ever get stuck without faucet water in a public restroom??

That's weird that there was no water to the sinks. Did the toilet flush okay?

@thislittlepennyearns It may have just been a propblem with the piping leading to the faucets..or some sort of special trick I had no idea about.

The bathroom sink at friendlys hardly works. Drives me nuts. Thankfully I try not to use the bathrooms when out. Even just to wash hands.

Yes, and sometimes even if the plumbing works they may be out of paper towels or the hand dryer doesn't work or something.

That's horribly frustrating, not to mention it's not hygienic! Were you able to let anyone know?

I didn't..I was thinking if I said something they would have told me they were working fine..or there was some trick I missed.

That's really weird. I've never encountered a sink without water in a public restroom

It was..I thought it was just the sink in question but they all seemed to be like that. You really don't expect that in a nice office building.

For some odd reason I always turn the water on before getting the soap. I am strange in many ways. so that ould not happen to me.

That would have saved me some trouble..I guess the moral of the story is carry hand sanitizer just in case.

Yes, or you wave your hand and nothing comes out. You remove your hands and then it starts flowing.

I hope you told someone. I've had to figure out how to turn it on at times, and there was one time when I didn't get any water, but the next sink worked. I'm glad there were paper towels.
