Husband Abandoned His Wife For Having Six Girls

I was at the hospital yesterday and l witnessed something terrible. A woman gave birth to a set of triplets (3 girls) and she was abandoned by her husband. I asked the doctor why such behavior from the patient's husband and l was alarmed when the doctor said the man abandoned his wife and triplets baby girls because they were all girls. The wife had three girls before, 8 years, 6 years and 4 years and now he can't stand having 3 more girls, he wanted a boy. So he abandoned his wife. I don't think that's the best thing to do, it's not the woman's fault for having six girls. Photo Credit: Google

It is really shocking that husband left the wife because now he will have to take care of six girls. The gender bias is the worst thing which could happen. There should be strict laws about it.

I wish that man learned science in high-school to know that it is men who determines the gender of a child. The man should blame his X chromosomes. He didn't have enough Y chromosomes to produce a male offspring

I doubt it can never change, we get to see it a lot here in my country, most especially from the eastern part where they harass, bully and maltreat their wives for not having a male child.

It's a pity men abandon their wife in such situations and it's so common here, most times it's either the state governor or office of the first lady that eventually help out the women.

@Lizirazo Its not the fault of his wife that she delivered baby girls. Its Gods wish to give a baby girl or baby boy. We have no power over it.What he gives us we must accept it ,rather than blame him.All children are gift of god.

This is so common especially in Africa, why do men behave in this manner. Suppose one goes away abandoning the woman and the innocent angels and never gets even a single child? This is so heartbreaking.

@Akatheu it's very very common in Nigeria, most especially the Eastern part of Nigeria, they love and prefer male kids to female. Sometimes they go about having a second wife just so they can have a son.

You asked doctor and not the man himself, so reason can be different as well. There are many other reason, like DNA mismatch, and doctor did not tell the truth. Another like kids were born after sterilization (wrong) so guy left.

I suppose that nobody with a normal human sense is able to understand such a behavior. It's comprehensive that a man who becomes a father wants to have a son. But even so, he never should leave his wife and babies because of a similar desire.
