daughter inlaw should be given the same love and respect which parents give their daughters.

we have seen in many place ,a daughter and a daughter in law is treated differently in a house.Daughter in laws have been harassed very much and her life is made miserable.
Same way if the daughter of that gets married and go to other.If she is tortured they will not tolerate.
Daughter in laws also should be treated as daughters. But many people differentiate between them .A daughter in law needs more love and support from her in-laws as she has left her parents house and dont feel lonely without them.

In my culture, daughters in law always belong to the family in which they were born. Thus, their family in law does not give them the same love. But they should give them the same respect and in a decent family they do.

It depends on what culture you are coming from. In our Indian and Pakistani cultures we live all together, but in the west people don't bother as the couples don't live with their parents. But, your bahu (daughter in law) should be treated the same as if she is your own daughter, as this justice and balance will keep things in harmony.

In my opinions, only respect between each other will be fine withme. Don't ask more than respect, since the habits and cutoms could be different, so there are surely contradictions. Aoiding these, respect is much more important.
