A serious Dark and Gritty Jackie Chan movie!!

remember back in 2012 Jackie Chan said the movie "Chinese Zodiac" will be his last movie but he ends up making more movies instead of retiring. He is more known for Action comedies on Hollywood movies.
Now He decided to get serious, dark and gritty with his first British movie titled "the foreigner" He will be costarred by one of the most Popular James Bond actors Pierce Brosnan.
It is about an Owner of Chinese Restaurant from UK who lost his daughter (Played by Katie Leung from Harry Potter) from a terrorist attack from IRA. people see him as an angry old man who lost his daughter but little did they know he have a military background. This movie is going to be more violent that the usual Jackie Chan movies.
I think this is his attempt to try winning an acting award but I think this movie will be good. I am sure any parent will want revenge if someone kills their daughter or son.
This is a British movie and not a Hollywood movie so I hope it will have a global release.

I think he wanted to win an acting award, so accepting serious roles might be his gateway.

I heard about his reason behind continuing to make movies..It`s because he helped a lot of people who needed a job for living especially those who are starting to get old but still wants to work while they can

I love how gritty and edgy this movie looks. Jackie Chan usually makes family friendly action movies. This is his first adult movie I think. it looks violent and dark. Based from the trailer his acting is good.

I like this version of him being serious. Not to mention him facing the former james bond actor. It's just unusual combination to me.

My only worry is that this is a British movie and not Hollywood but I hope it still does well around the world eventhough it is not an American movie. I think Pierce Brosnan might be a villain here.
The main Villain here is real existing terrorist group. Ira is group that hates the Royal Family and wants Northern Ireland to gain independence from UK and rejoin Ireland. It is a Christian terrorist group that hates the UK.
