I just saw this video on Facebook, I look at Facebook every morning with my first coffee.
Yes he's a Coach, a famous one. Lou Holtz,
I married a coach and loved the years we were in sports. I just sent this link to my husband because I know he will love seeing this and he's on the west coast right now....at a football Game. Go figure, its in his blood.

The photo has nothing to do with the post. Old photo of my mom when she graduated from high school or college, I have no idea which. But this photo warms my heart too...

Wasn't it you Anna, who came up with a post on how they painted their legs during the period of second world war...or was it Maluse. Don't recall, but that was interesting fact. Instead of stockings they painted their legs. I looked for those details..sheepish grin.

I was blessed ( just kidding) with my father's genes, he was tall and big boned and I got both, I do have a bit of my mother's face, she was small boned and piete, and I never considered myself in that catagory, although I do see me in my young mother's photo.Iin this photo my mom was wearing white hose. I never heard her talking about colouring their legs but it could have been something that happened...

@LadyDuck I agree with you and have seen myself in my mothers photos, its just hard for me to think that way because she was so tiny and feminine and I am my father's daughter, big boned, like my Dad.

@Shellyann36 I agree too, but she was so tiny, I never thought I looked like her but I have my dad's big bones and height, mom was tiny. I can see what you and Anna are saying.

@PainsOnSlate - I agree with @Ladyduck that you look a lot like your mother. Lou Holtz is a well-known, respected coach. You sound like you were blessed in this marriage.

My mother was so petite and I never was but I can now see the the two of us in both photos. and I have always considered our marriage blessed...

When the children were small we all went to all the games, I sort of miss that now they are grown and on their own. But because my man is no longer on the field, I listen to him on the radio.

I am very familiar with Lou Holtz a great coach at Notre Dame. Coaches are very inspirational in their speeches as they have much practice instilling their message to their teams. Holtz is a great role model and one to listen to. Did you know even though he talks a lot, he is known for this quote....

Thank you, and I didn't know that was his quote but it makes sense. My husband was a football coach for a long time, now retired but still busy with football on the radio.
