Diary 20th To The 22nd September 2017

Diary Wednesday 20th September 2017 Details came through of the post office work I have applied for with an invitation to an interview in early October. I got instructions to print out extensive application material and forms to sign, to take with me to the interview. Fortunately I could get the printing done for free at the community centre or it would have cost me dearly. I got a reply to my recent complaint (covered in detail in an earlier diary) about extremely aggressive behavior from staff at a local supermarket. I got an apology and a promise that a £5.00 gift voucher is heading my way from the store. Whether action will be taken against the staff members who were abusive to me was not stated. Diary Thursday 21st September 2017 A routine day at the job club, during which I signed off many of the application forms I printed out yesterday. I paid off some essential bills, and treated myself to a take-away meal from the local fish and chip shop rather than cooking anything. Diary Friday 22nd September 2017 A busy day though nothing was happening prior to lunchtime when I had my weekly welfare hearing. I was dreading too many questions over recent less than successful agency registrations, but they focused on the positive news of my pending Xmas Post Office work later in the year. I think the Youtube song by Offspring should be my anthem there by now. From there I headed to the local community centre for an excellent talk on bi-polarism by a man who has suffered from the condition for over thirty years before now finally finding a medication that he feels keeps his moods in better balance. The rest of the day involved preparing for the big science fiction comic-con convention I’m attending tomorrow. Arthur Chappell

Is the Post Office position a permanent one, or a Christmas job only?

I was skimming posts and saw this one. Knew who it was soon as saw the face. Used to get into this song, but because society made it about hate. I have a hard time listening to this one. Have to admit while other punk bands went to stand up for the poor they said quit being lazy. Think most punk bands knew was not about being lazy but system screwed up.

@arthurchappell Hmm, I have to say never looked at it that way. Talk about a half glass full guy. Neat you have that perspective I would never have seen that. I guess to much personal experience of people taking it the wrong way then. But that is most of punk.

@crossbones27 I always see the song as a protest against the people who expect you to get a job just like that but it is open to multiple interpretations

Oh my goodness. Do dates start going backwards now it's the end of September?? {This will make no sense if you choose to edit your post.} Enjoy your weekend of sci-fi shenanigans.
