Reaching payout on MyLot and HubPages

Next month will be a good month for me because I will finally get paid for my MyLot and HubPages earnings. Sweet! It took four months but I finally reached five bucks here at MyLot. Did much better than the last time, as it took me about fourteen months to get to the minimum. Hopefully, I will get to my next five even faster than this time around. My $50 minimum on HubPages has been reached as well. By the end of the month I will have close to $60, which is the highest I've ever reached in time for payout. Took me seven months but I got there. I would love to reach payout every month on every site I write for but as they say better late than never... I never really set goals for myself in terms of making x amount by a certain date because if I don't get there I will be very disappointed. However, I do tell myself that it would be nice if by the end of the month I get to a certain amount. And I am happy when I do. What's the shortest time it took you to get to your payout? And what was the longest time?

Congrats! I'm sure it'll get faster the longer you do it. On this site I've only reached payment out once I didn't know how long because I was so inconsistent and wouldn't post for months but now that I do weekly im earning faster. On this other site the shortest time was a month or month and a half

I sure hope it will get better. It's not a big deal if it takes longer to get to the minimum, as long as I get there finally, but I'd prefer to get there in a much shorter time frame.

It's not how you start but how you finish. You still have time to get there.

@nomus24g In a way it does. But I still think that what you do at the end can make the most difference in the end result.

I'm glad to hear that you've reached payout for both. I'm not on hubpages, so I can't say for that. But I've been able to reach payout on mylot in a month.

I want to be able to get there in a month's time. And of course, wouldn't mind getting there even faster. But it's a big improvement going from 14 months down to 4 months.

It took me so many months, and just like you, I can make it to the payout this month! At last! It looks faster now than before, I noticed, and it was because I didn't spend so much time here the past months.

Way to go! I think it took me so long to get the first $5 for a few reasons. One of them was the fact that I had a bit over a dollar in earnings and MyLot decided to pay people that haven't reached five. Another reason might have been that I wasn't as active or was a newbie and people didn't really know me or of my existence. But being very active doesn't necessarily mean you will make more or make it faster, as how much you make really depends on other people's interaction on what you write/pots here.

My shortest time was one month, which was on another site that closed. The longest time was a year, to get paid $20 on Unique Rewards. Which other writing sites are you active on, at this time?

@lovebuglena Thank you, for these new, possible leads. I'm looking for another writing site to earn from, in addition to My Lot.

@lovebuglena Do you think myLot will have a flood of new members signing up when Niume is closed?

@sishy7 Probably some people from Niume will come over to myLot but this site is different than Niume. Niume wasn't a discussion site. People wrote articles and blog posts there and shared their photos and art pieces. Not sure if they'd wanna do the same here. Were you on Niume?

The only time I reached payout monthly here was when they tried out the $1 minimum for a couple of months last year. It usually takes me a couple of months to reach $5. Of course it was longer when the minimum was $10.

I don't think I was here when they had the $1 minimum. But there was one time when they paid out those that didn't reach $5. :)

@lovebuglena Yes, it was a try out. They made the payout to be $1 for the months of March and April 2016. Your joined date was 16 Nov 15, so you were already here then.

Yep. HubPages is still here and not going anywhere any time soon. They have branched out now and created many niche sites. Whatever you already have published on HubPages, admin can move to a relevant niche site, if it's up to their standards. They may do some edits prior to moving a hub (article) to a niche site. You can also, yourself, submit one of your hubs to a niche site. No guarantee it will get approved but it is a shot. One thing I noticed, is that when they move your hub to a niche site they remove any links and any Amazon products you have in your hub. Not sure if they do that with everyone but it happened to me.

@lovebuglena Yeah, I'm pretty comfortable with that pace by now... I'd like to make it faster if I could... It doesn't look like it's going to happen this month though, I'm still on my dime a day average and not any faster than normal...

i'm inconsistent here, so it usually takes 2-3 months. i notice some will spend hours every day to reach a daily or weekly or monthly goal, and then burn out and become inactive. or they go back to their other sites, or find other sites that's structured differently.
