I sure hope it will get better. It's not a big deal if it takes longer to get to the minimum, as long as I get there finally, but I'd prefer to get there in a much shorter time frame.

I'm glad to hear that you've reached payout for both. I'm not on hubpages, so I can't say for that. But I've been able to reach payout on mylot in a month.

I want to be able to get there in a month's time. And of course, wouldn't mind getting there even faster. But it's a big improvement going from 14 months down to 4 months.

The only time I reached payout monthly here was when they tried out the $1 minimum for a couple of months last year. It usually takes me a couple of months to reach $5. Of course it was longer when the minimum was $10.

@lovebuglena Yes, it was a try out. They made the payout to be $1 for the months of March and April 2016. Your joined date was 16 Nov 15, so you were already here then.

I don't think I was here when they had the $1 minimum. But there was one time when they paid out those that didn't reach $5. :)

It took me so many months, and just like you, I can make it to the payout this month! At last! It looks faster now than before, I noticed, and it was because I didn't spend so much time here the past months.

Way to go! I think it took me so long to get the first $5 for a few reasons. One of them was the fact that I had a bit over a dollar in earnings and MyLot decided to pay people that haven't reached five. Another reason might have been that I wasn't as active or was a newbie and people didn't really know me or of my existence. But being very active doesn't necessarily mean you will make more or make it faster, as how much you make really depends on other people's interaction on what you write/pots here.

My shortest time was one month, which was on another site that closed. The longest time was a year, to get paid $20 on Unique Rewards. Which other writing sites are you active on, at this time?

@sishy7 Probably some people from Niume will come over to myLot but this site is different than Niume. Niume wasn't a discussion site. People wrote articles and blog posts there and shared their photos and art pieces. Not sure if they'd wanna do the same here. Were you on Niume?

i'm inconsistent here, so it usually takes 2-3 months. i notice some will spend hours every day to reach a daily or weekly or monthly goal, and then burn out and become inactive. or they go back to their other sites, or find other sites that's structured differently.

Yep. HubPages is still here and not going anywhere any time soon. They have branched out now and created many niche sites. Whatever you already have published on HubPages, admin can move to a relevant niche site, if it's up to their standards. They may do some edits prior to moving a hub (article) to a niche site. You can also, yourself, submit one of your hubs to a niche site. No guarantee it will get approved but it is a shot. One thing I noticed, is that when they move your hub to a niche site they remove any links and any Amazon products you have in your hub. Not sure if they do that with everyone but it happened to me.

the minimum payout here is $5. if you earned that or more by the end of the current month, you will be paid any day from the 1st to the 15th of the next month.
