Fried

Okay, it's hot! I'm not a heat oriented person. I like the mid seventies as the warmest in summer and this summer was pretty good in that way. We didn't get into the 80's very often. However, today got to 91 and I'm fried. You can't do anything in that kind of heat.
I tried working on my book when I got home from the park, but my brain got fried at the park. At least it felt that way. I'll be surprised if I didn't burn out there. The only good thing about the park was the breeze. Looking out my window at the moment, there isn't even a breeze to blow the leaves, okay, it just made a liar out of me. For a temporary moment. It's still again.
I'm sitting here in the dark not wanting to turn the light on as it would add more heat to the apartment. I'm also trying to figure out what I can make for supper that wouldn't involve cooking. I do have some frozen berries thawing. That will taste really good. I also sliced up a tomato, but I have no idea what else to make that won't heat the place up. Whatever it is, I'll make it in the microwave as that won't heat up the apartment. I'm not real hungry anyway, which usually happens when it's so hot.
I also saw that the game on Sunday is going to be the hottest on record for Lambeau Field. They're going to have those huge fans on the field for the players so they won't get overheated.
So now with notifications done, I'm going to let my computer cool off and go watch something on television. It might end up being Netflix or a movie. We'll see.
How was your day? Are you having higher than normal temps for where you live or is everything pretty much normal? Thanks for reading.
Picture mine - wishful thinking

It's always hot here and I hate it. We're doing appetizers that can go in the microwave as well so we don't have to sweat with the oven on.

It is supposed to be a scorcher here tomorrow with record breaking temps into the 90's. I am so not looking forward to that.
My intention is to drive up north to do a bit of shopping. Or maybe south a bit and into Mass. Haven't decided which way to go. I need circular knitting needles so I can start making some hats and a sweater for my son and his wife. I am having a baby shower for them in November and need to have some goods ready for that.

@just4him our Walmart doesn't carry them. I was very disappointed when I ventured there intending to buy a couple of sets.

We do have hotter than usual, but the forecast I am reading says that it is supposed to cool down a lot for the next few days here. I am ready for some moisture as it is so very dry.

It got to 93 today, though the breeze at the bay was very nice. It didn't feel as hot as yesterday, but the increased tan I have, and a bit of burn, says otherwise. It starts cooling down tomorrow, but only by a couple degrees. It will be 88 at game time tomorrow. The warmest game in history at Lambeau.

I bet those fans will be angry along with the hot weather supporting their heated support and emotions. We had some hot days too. Unfortunately, it went gloomy again.

I don't do well in this extreme heat and humidity either.
That's why we're going to the lake tomorrow.
We'll chill in the car with the a/c on and enjoy a nice breeze off of the lake while we grill our supper and eat outside.
We'll eventually have to return to the reality of the city and the heat, but we'll be better off for a day away I think.

That does sound really hot. Yesterday I needed an electric blanket and I've just realised that I've woken up about 2:30 and I am really really hot but I didn't put the blankets on so I think we're in for some hot weather but nothing like that. The papers were warning of a really hot spell in the UK. We should be at about mid autumn

It was somewhere in the 80s today. It is 80 at 7:30pm so I imagine it was upper-80s mid-day. I wore a long-sleeved polo shirt to work and was a bit warm but not uncomfortable. I can easily handle these temps as long as it isn't super-humid.
