Plate sized leaves

Autumn here, evening calls for the lamp being lit my cells travel back and further back plate sized maple leaves lobed beneath our shoes crunch and crackle, crunch unless unless its a soggy, gray glare free afternoon spiraling down, further along to me red, yellow, crimson, pencil hued the sidewalk a way to get to somewhere taken in as life, just there, now delectable on the mind's tongue nougat caught in youth's snare.

I was immediately swept into the place where this poem is. I am desperate for comfort and quiet.
