Pants are Overrated, Anyway

I have had, over the years, a blast hanging out, or walking around Downtown Colorado Springs, but I have never seen anything quite like this. Colorado Springs Police cited and released a man on suspicion of third degree assault and indecent exposure. As far as the assault charge goes, the man allegedly punched a guy in the nose. As far as the indecent exposure charge, the police caught the guy walking around with his pants around his ankles, like Steve Martin in The Jerk. Seriously, the dude obviously needs help. I hope he's not homeless and broke, because what few programs there are that aid the homeless are overflowing with patients as it is. The article, from the Colorado Springs Gazette, is linked below.
A man likely will be cited after police found him with his pants down around his ankles Wednesday afternoon in downtown Colorado Springs. The man was taken into custody near the corner of East Pikes Peak Avenue and Tejon Street shortly after 3 p.m., police

My dad has dementia, and the other day his wife found him walking around the house without pants on. The pants are the first to go!

You know something is wrong with him, who does that?

How unusual, hopefully they do more than just toss him in jail.

@teamfreak16 Well that seems like it is a wasted effort, hopefully he at least has to go to court.

They didn't arrest him, apparently just served him and let him go. It's kind of hard to get arrested here right now. The jail is at 140% capacity or something like that.

There has to be. Even the homeless guys that hang out on that corner keep their pants on.

@RubyHawk - You still see that here. You would think that it would have gone out of style by now.

@teamfreak16 You remember for awhile all the young guys wore low rider pants. Some with their behinds completely hanging out. They were a sight to see.

Looks like Colorado Springs had some excitement. It is hard to get pants off with shoes on, probably why they stuck at his ankles. Was it a hot day? Perhaps he wanted to cool off. Anyway, except for the man with the alleged bloody nose no real harm was done. Cited and released. All kidding aside, the sad part of the story is he won't receive the obvious treatment he needs.

More than likely, he won't. I'm guessing, based upon where he was caught, that he is more than likely homeless. Those programs are so overwhelmed as it is.

Law enforcers like to take the law literally that they fail to see humanity sometimes.

It doesn't sound like they arrested him, rather served him and sent him on his way.
