I dislike city life and cannot really get into rural America either because they indeed seem to be blinded by living alone. City life, people are rude and noisy. Country life is to quiet and seems so easy to lose perspective of what is really happening in this country. Oh, never mind.... I forgot I just hate people. One good thing about being conned so many times in ones life. Pretty easy to spot now.

My country is divisive too. Even with the access to internet and tv, they are still ignorant and loyal to their politicians no matter what. Specially when they get paid during election. It happens, it's a normal thing now that I have seen in this show.

Yeah, I think the people that thought the internet was going to magically educate people and bring people together as a whole under estimated how people care more about other things over finding out the truth with facts. They do not like things that challenge their core beliefs what ever that may be. religion, politics, how they earn their money, and so on.

I hear you and would not blame you since you live on an island.

25,000 seems like a good size town to me. Not to big and not to small.

I missed country life when I lived in the city - now I am the country to stay - I really miss the city.

I imagine that is the way I would be if I did move to the country. I did live on a farm for about a year when young. It was fun because could explore the woods, but other than that, pretty boring. Sure had pretty sunrises though.

@crossbones27 - This post made me laugh! I think we all feel that divide between not quite liking either the city or the country. Maybe that is why the suburbs came into existence!

Could be, the very edge of the suburbs on top of it.
