would you stay away from a guy that said that loves you and after a few days find a girlfriend?

Hi everyone 
I have a friend that said he is in love with me but we continued friends.
Then after a month he told me that he met a girl and was love at first sight.
I mean it isnt possible that you love someone one day and after a month you love somebody else right?
I am his friend only but i think he didnt act right with me. For me i think that he lied to me about love me because of he did he wouldnt just forget that fast.
What do you think?

@resukill22 I think if he said he is on love with her as a girlfriend, is different from just a normal friend. He just wanted to pass some time with her.

Love has many levels. He may love you as a friend but not as a partner. Sounds like he is scared to be alone so he is always looking for love.

@Happy2BeMe I think falling in love with someone means a lot whereas being on love in different too. I think the guy was desperate and needed just someone not knowing he could hurt somebody with those words.

He would just like to take you as a fallback. And you expected higher than he would like to show you. But of course, he does has the right to fall in love another girl because the real relationship between you two is just friends.

Yes sure he has the right to find someone and i understand perfectly that he found it.What made me feel angry is that he said he was in love with me and a month later said that he has a girlfriend now and it was love at first sight and that is ridiculous in my opinion at least when i love someone i don't forget him in a month.

@sweetloveforeve for sure if you love someone truly nothing can stop you from loving them, even love at first sight can't stop it. In my opinion I think that was lust.

I would obviously stay away from a guy ,who tells me that he loves me,and finds another girlfriend after a few days. This is not true love. It's time pass..

He experiences lust it seems not love. Don't be surprised if after two weeks it is love at first sight with another girl.
