A Learning Day - Four Strokes?

I worked today as a driver first, I took Tony to get his last Ocdivo treatment and since I was in the big old salty ham (Birmingham, Alabama) I stopped by the Bass Pro shop to inquire about a new boat motor. Man! Sometimes its does not pay to be a loyal customer, After asking how much a new 60 horse Mercury motor is at the Bass Pro shop, I knew they were gonna rip me off for more than $2,000! Nope I do not care about going back to Buck`s. I can get a new motor, have it installed for around of $6,000 AND they will help me sell the old motor as well. When I said " well, maybe I can buy the motor and wait a couple months and come back when I have the money, and you can install it." The boss man said " we have this deal going on now till December, $300 off installation." Well know what? It was only gonna be $350 for installation! Now what is a four stroke? Its something within a boat motor and I just did not know what it was, Tony listened and said " four" and when we got to the car I asked what did four stroke mean, he said " I think its like the cylinder of a car." So me being me I goggled it when I got home and he was right, its something like that. I learn something everyday. By the time I die at 100 years old I will be a know it all! When I got home I got on the phone about the rental house, I need to get things going and he is on it! Now I have to call back and get the prices. How was your day?

Pretty quiet, went to water exercise, cooked lunch and dinner, blogged, did some laundry, loaded the dishwasher. Hubs sold his boat motor today, what a coincidence don't you think, he is getting rid of his big bass boat. He now has a 10 footer.

The bass boat is the one I am trying to get back up to par. I have a small Jon boat that we paddle in the small lakes.

It's the same with motor cycles and jet skis. Four strokes are more fuel efficient and faster. But two strokes are lighters and simpler. With a four stroke, you don't add oil to the gas. With a two stroke you can. Here's a decent video about two.
PWC 2 stroke engine VS a pwc 4 stroke engine. Check our channel for newer and better videos!
