It is so hard to believe in some ways that it has really been this long. I do admit it has been hard at times still wishing she was around so I had someone to talk too and share the Good, Bad and just talk. She unfortunately was having a lot of Health issues when she was alive, and the starting of Bad demensia. The worst part of it all, is everyone thinks she helped herself die the day she died, as there were evidence pointing to that fact. Personally I am hoping that is not the case, but there was an eerie feeling when I went to Montana and viewed her body before the funeral. But overall I am handling things today better than I thought. I guess due to keeping busy with my Rock hiding fun, etc. No one from my family put anything about this on Facebook so neither have I. Just sharing about it and talking about it here. There are a lot of good times I can remember, and Glad she was my Mom even though at times I wish things could have been different. Is your Mom still alive, and do you let her know you Love her? ... Picture taken was last one of us 5 kids and some of the spouses taken when my Mom was still around. I am the one with short hair.

@LadyDuck Thanks Anna. what makes it heavy in the heart is that she was in coma and we never said goodbye properly

My mom is 85 and still very healthy physically and mentally by God's grace. In the Philippines we reserve November 1-2 as the day we remember our dearly departed loved ones by going to the cemeteries and or lighting candles. Nice remembrance picture you have there

Yes I wish I lived closer to where my Mom is buried so I could go visit her grave from time to time, but 13 hrs is a long ways. But I do take time to remember and appreciate the yrs she was here with me.

@KrauseHome we celebrated "All soul's day" today and " All Saint's day " the other day, as I mentioned, those who cannot come or go to cemeteries simply burned candles and or arranged flowers at home, perhaps you could do that if. It would make you feel better.

Your Dad was young when he passed, but you still have the pleasure of having a Mom to still talk too.

@KrauseHome Yes, my father was young and I miss him every day. I was more attached to my father, we were so much similar.

Nice family photo. My mom is still around - and even though we live in different countries we talk on the phone sometimes twice a day.

so sorry for you, my has stroke and she had partial dementia too due to the stroke. She can remember the past very well but not the present. She can remember me, my brother, my dad and my kids. The problem is she cannot remember what she had today, taken shower or not, taken meds or not, those trivial things, she cannot remember at all.....

I am so sorry for your loss. My mom is soon to be 88 and is very frail and has been having some health issues. We live above her so can see her daily and help her before and after my workday. I have a wonderful Mom. A best friend, hang on to your wonderful memories
