An upgrade now too late

A week ago I received a call from our Globe and they were endorsing this new plan that would increase the internet speed by 10mbps. I didn't agree with it until they got to talk to her instead. I'm not the account owner but for some reason she agreed to change the plan. The day after the upgrade I've search for feed backs on it and it wasn't good. They said that it's fast for one month only but afterwards everything goes to crap. I do remember this now from a certain complainer when I was at the office. They were angry because it's been a month since their last request to restore their old plan. They also promised to give me an PIN for the free Netflix account free for the next six months, but nothing came.. I didn't notice the upgrade until I've check the speed of it.
Broadband speed test, Sorsogon area. Speed test net 10 mbps browsing speed.

We have the Globe Tattoo Wifi connection at home and it's sometimes so slow. It could hardly reach our bedroom sometimes, I had to just use my mobile date when I want to browse on facebook while hubby and I are already in bed resting.

@Letranknight2015 you know, for now since I came back, I am using my phone to connect and get here on mylot. I have no access to desktop for a year now I guess for the kids always on it every night for school projects.

@Letranknight2015 Are you on postpaid plan or prepaid. With postpaid , you can choose a deal that has internet even for only 100 mbps.

Hello @SIMPLYD It's crazy but even to this day I don't have a mobile phone that has internet on it. I have an android phone here but I haven't set it for an open line.

May I know what plan you have with Globe? Mine at home is plan 1,299 50Gb. We have applied to the temporary plan with additional 100Gb for free for 6 months only. But it's speed remains the same. I am just annoyed with a few promos like Netflix and Disney because we are not using those. And after the free subscription they said, we are to billed for it.

@Letranknight2015 500Gb for how much? That's what I saw in the statement so we have to go to the store and complain. They said they are free but they billed us.

What really ? Let me clarify, you are billed for the netflix and disney that they were promoting? I didn't even get a single email about their darn PIN. Were using the plan +300 pesos worth of additional payment. They claim it's 500gb of data, not sure because of the complains I've seen in youtube @neildc

I think these plans have capping that's why they slow down gradually I think Converge fiber optics is already near you, I'm waiting for that too so I could change plans.

These internet providers are good in marketing strategy. But when it comes to after sales, their service is very disappointing.

I think they responding to the rants of our people because compared to other countries, our internet speed sucks big time @rachz_kisses but I guess even if they try to improve it still sucks at some point.

@rachz_kisses Another reason why I hesitated was because I heard they were just renting a satellite from a company in Singapore which is why it's so expensive.

@Letranknight2015 They should respond by improving their system or get their internet speed upgraded if they want to cater their customer's complains. The solution is simple actually, people want what they paid for. If they are paying for a 5mbps speed, it should be delivered, not some lousy 2mbps.
