Is This World Coming To An End? What Do You Think?

This morning, after watching the weather channel for a while and checking on the current news happening around the world, a particular scripture came to mind, so I thought I would share it with you and see what you think. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says: “But know this, that in the LAST DAYS, critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power and from these turn away.” Do you agree that this is the atmosphere we see in the world today? It’s a very volatile world we live in today. People everywhere are UNHAPPY about what’s happening around them and they are protesting and rebelling. And it’s not just in one or two countries. It’s a GLOBAL PATTERN. Over 100 million people have lost their lives as a result of war in the 20th century and up until now. Enough nuclear weapons exist to destroy all mankind many times over. The money spent on these weapons is outrageous. And yet, schools are in need of money. Old people need help. There are homeless people everywhere. The governments misuse taxes for personal benefit. Corruption is everywhere. And now terrorism reaches out to engulf the globe. Jesus Christ said that “the conclusion of this system of things” would be identified by war, food shortages and disease. Matthew the 24th chapter. Luke 21st chapter. Mark 13th chapter. Do you not agree that we are living in “critical times hard to deal with?” Luke 21:25 says: “…and on the earth, anguish of nations, not knowing the way out…while men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth…” And then it says, “But as these things start to occur, raise yourselves erect and lift your heads up, because your deliverance is getting near.” Can it be true that what is happening on the earth is GOOD NEWS? That SOON we can expect deliverance from all the things that are happening in the world? Whether you are a Bible reader or not, I urge you to watch this short 3-minute video, which explains why this world is in such a mess and why we can believe that our “deliverance is getting near.” Learn what a person must do NOW to survive.

When you share a smile, it will be passed around to at least another person before it fades away into the woes of the day. When you share a frown, it will infectiously spread from person to person, as there is much in a given day to frown about. With social media and global news networks, they choose to share more than frowns. They share anger and sow the seeds of discontent, and those people pass the feelings along. How many of those people have last been given a smile? If you plant the seeds of hatred; they will grow. It seems that this world only perpetuates its woes, when it could share smiles just as easily. When was the last time you joked to someone with the intention to share a smile? I do it on a daily basis... perhaps the world would be better off if others took up the same approach.

Yes, that's exactly why I try to share the GOOD NEWS from the Bible. There is definitely too much bad news.

@IreneVincent I guess, but I always find any news from religious texts to be depressing. Of course, news in general is difficult to watch these days.

I dont think that we are yet at the hardest times cause still there are warm heart who sends help love and prayer to those who are less fortunate or in need. There are still loving and god fearing people around. Its just that most of the time media/news/social media, aired or share events or happenings that are negative. Well just my opinion. Have you tried walkig or jogging around your area? For sure you will get a hi and hello, how are doing, have a nice day smile still right?

Yes, those persons with warm hearts, those who are loving and god fearing people will be the ones who will survive. Psalm 37:9-11 says: "For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth. Just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more. You will look at where they were and they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."

You know I just cannot put my nerves to another test right now. I am alone, I hurt from losing my husband and if it all goes head over kettle I won't have to suffer alone anymore so I just do what I have to do to get through every day, say my prayers and do things that keep me going and keep me calm. I just can't deal with anything else right now. I do keep the faith though.

Continue to pray and your prayers will be answered. Pray for comfort in your time of grief. Pray for strength to endure whatever the future brings.

What is happening around the world is terrifying but I find most people are in denial.

Jesus said that the end of this old wicked world would be like it was in the days of Noah before the flood came. The people "took no note" of what was happening and the flood came "and swept them all away." He said "so it will be" when the end comes. That's why I urge everyone to watch the video.

The Bible says: "Concerning the day and the hour, no one knows..." except God, of course. He has set a "time" and when that time comes, only then will we know it. In the meantime, we must not ignore all the "signs" that are happening throughout the world, as I mentioned. Those signs are a WARNING to us, and so we need to learn how to survive the end.
