Finally got my Katy Perry CD in the mail

After I got my ticket to see Katy Perry in concert I received an email telling me that the purchase of my ticket comes with a copy of Katy Perry's new CD Witness. I clicked on the Redeem Now button that was in the email and confirmed all the info they were asking me to confirm, one of them being my shipping address. Since this has never happened to me before, I was a bit skeptical about this. I wondered if this was legit and I would actually get the CD, or if this was some sort of a scam thing to get my personal info, though the info was already filled in and I just had to verify that it was correct. I looked at the URL of the website I was taken to and saw that it was bundles.ticketmaster.com. Ticketmaster is the official site for concert tickets, and where I got mine, so I knew it had to be for real and I would get the CD. I waited for a few weeks, kept checking the mailbox, but no CD was in sight. I started to think that maybe I was never going to receive it, and that maybe this was just a way to get my info after all, even though Ticketmaster is a trusted site. Hackers/spammers can probably make it so that the URL shows up as a legit one but then it's them trying to get personal info from you. Then yesterday, I went to check the mailbox and there was a package from Ticketmaster with the Katy Perry CD. I breathed a sign of relief. I finally got it. No more wondering. No more waiting... Sure would be nice if other concert tickets came with the artist's latest CD.

That's pretty cool . . . a nice "prize" to go with your ticket! It's makes you feel better when you know certain companies will keep their word . . . and it looks good on your favorite music artists too. So how was the CD?

All I did so far was remove the wrapping lol and browsed through the booklet. Have yet to listen to it. Excited that she is credited on all the songs and is the first person in the credits. Now I am not sure if that means she wrote the lyrics only or if she wrote music as well, but I hope she wrote the lyrics. A singer/recording artist should write his/her lyrics, not sing what someone else wrote for them. Not sure how much of the lyrics she wrote. I don't think it should take more than one person to write a lyric but that's not always the case. And with a long list of people for each song hard to know who wrote the lyrics and who wrote the music.

I love her new songs, at least those I've heard so far. Better get to listening to the new album. I found it strange that the cover art in the front of the CD doesn't say the album title and Katy Perry on it. Though I think it says Katy in small letters there.
