That's right, there is no theme for this particular music series. Instead, I am focused upon one of my all-time bands: New Model Army, with "Space." From their 1990 album, Impurity, "Space" was that album's 3rd single, although it was a non album live version, which reached #39 in the UK. One of the band's most radio friendly tunes, "Space" is decidedly not a protest song (those are coming up soon.) It is a tune about the beauty of our planet. Best part? Moses is walking up the hill, mesmerized by the beautiful nature surrounding him, when God calls on Moses to "Bring the people to my will." Moses blows God off and keeps walking up the hill in order to get a better view. There is a spoken word section, by vocalist Justin Sullivan's life partner, Joolz Denby. I linked to the actual album version instead of a live version due to this. Enjoy! (Info verified by Wikipedia)

I saw Joolz Denby live on stage in the 80's. She is an amazing poet / commedienne

@arthurchappell - And quite the artist, too. She's designed all of New Model Army album covers.

Don;t you like how the beginning of the 90's still kind of sound like the 80's.. Takes a awhile for a decade to have its own sound. That sound was easy on the ears and flowed well.

Yeah, that is true. Grunge hadn't really taken off yet at that point.

Yeah, that's definitely "radio friendly" with a good 80s feel to it.

It's the most radio friendly thing they've ever done. Much moreso than this one:
Mother, father, I'm doing okay On the other side of the country and far away And though I know the things that you want to hear me say Sometimes these things...

Rare for a rock song to be gentle concerning nature.

It's definitely not as angry as some of their protest songs.
