Was it a wasted trip?

I go to a Native American Clinic for my dental work. I have had an appointment set for today for quite a while. I took part of the day off work, it is an hour's drive. This morning when I got up, my internet was down. My landline phone, that I give to doctors and such, is provided with my internet. I did not think much of it. I left in plenty of time to be early to my dental appointment, just in case there was paperwork to do. When I went up to the desk I was told that the Doctor had been called away, and that they had been trying to call me, but the message they got from my phone was that we "were not accepting calls at this time". I do not know what time the internet came back up, but obviously it did or I would not be here. So I rescheduled, for an evening time, this time. I also got asked if I had "pre medicated" because I have an artificial joint. I said "No, no one prescribed one", so they would not have been able to do my appointment after all. Now I have an evening appointment, and a prescribed pre medication. I had some time off by myself. Yesterday at work was exhausting. Then my daughter and I talked on the phone for two hours past my bedtime. I COULD sneak in a short nap if I so chose to now. I may just drive on over to school and rest my eyes. I stopped at the store on my way home and picked up stuff for the weekend. I do not think it was a wasted trip. How about you?

Not really as I needed a breather from work anyway, and this was paid time.

Definitely not a wasted trip especially if you found out you need to pre-medicate before the appointment. I'm always in favor of a nap

I knew I was supposed to and this young lady did say that Medical Doctors sometimes have a different opinion from Dental Doctors but since this was dental, they would request it. It was originally ordered by my foot doctor who replaced a joint in my toe.

It's good it didn't turn out to be a wasted trip after all.

I will probably have to have several appointments before all is repaired.

Three times I turned up for an appointment with the same woman, and three times, her secretary didn't let me know in time. (She was not well!) Those trips I took for nothing, made me a bit mad. Glad that your trip ended up not being wasted .

As you said they would not have been able to treat you anyway. Not a wasted day also when you were able to get so many other things accomplished.

You know how good that is. I got to school in time to spend an hour before swimming. When we got back my student had a class art project to work on and then went to the library. Very easy day.
