Bad Cold

I have been sleeping a lot lately. Have a bad cold and feeling that winter blues coming on. I haven't gotten a cold for years. Now I have one. Weird too cause I got my pneumonia shot at the doctor's office a few weeks back. Then I get this cold just a few days later. Could there be some correlation? I wonder.

I am not sure if you can get a mild cold after getting that shot or not. I do know that you can feel crappy after getting a flu shot though.

You probably can get body aches and such as a sign you are building immunity.

I always get a cold or sinus infection when the weather changes from summer to autumn. Our temps keep going up and down which always messes up my immune system.

My grandson usually gets sick this time of the year but I have been able to sneak by until this year.

@celticeagle There may be extra allergens around which make you more vulnerable. Are you still having lots of fires around you? Stress can also lower your immunity.

@GardenGerty .......Fires are pretty much under control. No smoke any longer. Yes, being sensitive to stress doesn't help me at all.

I never can tell the difference between sinus problems, allergies and a cold. I had something for over six weeks last winter. It finally went away when I used thyme leaves and made a tea to sip. The doctor even prescribed steroids for a while, but I suspect it had to do with heating ducts harboring germs in my case.

Don't know if your cold came from a result of your pneumonia shot or not but hopefully it doesn't last long and you're feeling as good as new in no time.

Its that time of year where the weather changes and everyone starts getting sick. Just take medicine, drink plenty of water and rest up.

I used to get a flu shot, yet I would still get the flu. When I stopped getting the flu shot I stopped getting the flu. It could be a coincidence, but it is odd.

I think that is why I avoid the shots and they don't offer them here on the islands. I have never taken them and I have never gotten sick. I think they are to make you sick to build up your immune system. That's not so good.
