Where do your October thoughts turn?

Some of us are thinking about autumn smells, tastes and holidays. Others are looking forward to spring warmth and blossoms. Still others have no change of season in October.
In Japan, coolness and colored leaves are a cause for celebration. Even our weather maps show to "koyo", colored leaves, and where is the best viewing spot week by week. In Tokyo, we will not get colored leaves until November. But our weather is cooler!

Our nights are much cooler, down to about 17C, but now it is midday and 27C. But the summer humidity is gone.

In Spokane October brings cooler days and nights. The leaves start to change colors and are very pretty. I like October - there are no bees for one thing. But I do miss the warm summer days and October always makes me start thinking about the holidays.
