Good morning, friends. October is the most beautiful month in this part of the world. Flowers show their colors and even the most tiny weeds have little blossoms. Today my daughter Claudia will come to take me to Diego´s birthday party. I don´t remember exactly the time, but I wrote it down. I have to, as during this month we have lots of family birthdays. Vicente´s comes later and then the special tea party for my aunt who will be turning 100. At the end of the month There´s Claudia´s birthday. And I already gave Euros as a present to Carolina to take to Spain. How do you celebrate birthdays in your family?

As my children age, I try to at least get them a small token gift to remind them that I am thinking of them. My daughter turns 39 on the 8th of this month and I hope to bring her out to dinner.

I do that too. I give better presents for their birthdays than for Christmas though. At Christmas, I just make jams for the older people.

It depends really on what the celebrator wants but it is usually a quiet dinner and a trip to the shopping mall to buy gifts.

We usually buy a cake and some food and presents. If a child is celebrating his/her anniversary, lots of children are invited and for an adult, it can be a cake or just a birthday meal

We have so many birthdays in our family this month! My husband, son, niece, nephews and my sister's birthday are all this month! We usually celebrate by having cake, opening presents and going somewhere special. =)

We never did much. My family was big into celebrating the church year holidays. Also, my birthday is right after Christmas so nobody has much money.
