Can you keep a secret?

I've heard it said that if you tell someone a secret they will tell at least one person which means that if everyone who knows it tells at least one other person it won't stay a secret for very long.
I must admit that I usually tell my partner who is much better at keeping secrets than I am so it probably never goes any further.
If someone tells you a secret will you tell your nearest and dearest or will you keep it safe?

@Ithink He's never ever repeated anything I've told him (that I know of). If he did it never came back on me.

@alien0187 It's good if you can but some secrets can be bad. I wonder how a catholic priest copes with all the stuff people share with him.

It really depends on the secret. I like to talk..so it would probably be best not to tell me!

I usually tell nobody, if they say it's a secret. Sometimes, I tell them that if it's a secret maybe they shouldn't tell me.
