All but one

Our clearance slip

Since it is October, our salary for September 16 to 30 was given this afternoon in school. I and Miss CC were the clinical instructors who had duty, so after we let our clearance slip signed by our clinical coordinator (he was on afternoon duty), we rode on the school bus. But before our clearance slips were signed, we have to give the requirements like evaluation tools, grades, attendance sheets, hospital and clients’ evaluation to the students, and list of absences; otherwise, our slips won’t be signed. I, Miss CC, Miss LM, Miss AUA, and the patronizing colleague had our slips for signature. Naturally, our clinical coordinator (Mr. FMD) should check if our requirements are updated. Mine is always updated, and so are the others. Mr. FMD even said I am always organized. All except one; you guessed it right. It is the colleague who thinks she can escape the eyes of Mr. FMD. When he checked our requirements and the clearance slip of Miss DLM showed no submitted requirements, he declined to sign, and told Miss CC to tell Miss DLM that he will sign the clearance slip when she submits the grades of her students. I guess she wants to stand out in the wrong manner.

@ridingbet I think she is wrong if she thinks she can do what she pleases to do.

@LadyDuck she is alone now and she segregates herself from the troop of friends. we don't know what her thinking is now. i guess she is willing to give up the friendship in favor of her new colleagues in the other school of nursing where she self-appoints as the clinical coordinator.

yes she is. she is deviating from the policies of the school. maybe she thinks she can get away with it because the dean of the college of nursing is her neighbor and the dean is the godfather of her youngest son.

@FayeHazel she cannot talk to me directly, because i always talk to her straightforward. often when my other colleagues have problems with her, they approach me. i give them some pieces of advice.

@ridingbet Can you say something to her? It's a hard situation, I know.

Why did she pass it for signature when she knows that she should have met the requirement? She's really so assuming.

Yes, it seems she does want to stand out in the wrong manner. But she did not get away with her behaviour, because her clearance slip was not signed.

yes. up till now, she has not yet submitted her evaluation to the clinical coordinator; ergo, her clearance slip is not yet signed.

yes that is also my question, and she keeps on ignoring the rules and policies of the school, and she still has workloads. actually, a few years ago, she did not have workload for 2 first semesters because of the low evaluation of the students to her. our dean is the godparent of her youngest child, and i thought that is the reason why she is not terminated.

if I were her I would be up to date with my clearance slip. It is her duty to be up to date because at the end of it all she still will have to produce it. Sometimes its just good to follow instructions instead of being a headache.

that is true. since she is a clinical instructor for nearly a decade now, she should already know the routine when we get our salaries.

She seems to be doing things to only put her in trouble. I am wondering about the grades of her students

maybe you will think that i am exaggerating, but i once saw her prepare the grades of her students. this was the time we attended the case colloquium in school. she has no record book and she just put the grades of the students even without computing them. i believe she is not serious anymore.

no, the clearance slip is for every 15th and end of the month. we have to update our school requirements so there will be no pile-up of school's paperwork

Well, it's her responsibility to complete her requirements before getting cleared. I guess she thinks she's a vip over there or something.

you are absolutely coprrect. she really thinks highly of herself that she can get away with it. actually, the statement she said to Miss CC was her clearance slip should be between 2 clearance slips so the coordinator and the dean will sign without checking the papers. in vain though, because the CC checked our requirements individually.

Miss DLM sounds like she is shirking her duties. Happy Mr. FMD is aware of it!!!

true. in fact, our clinical coordinator Mr. FMD calls this colleague as the CC of another school of nursing because she appointed herself as the one who schedules the part-time instructors with their duty.
