Pikes Peak Sunset

I was outside just now, where I saw the coolest view of Pikes Peak, so I thought I'd share.
Sure, there is some seriously ominous looking cloud cover, but notice the white line of clouds below the summit of the mountain? How about the groovy sunset to the right? Pretty cool, huh?
(Fun Fact that You Probably Already Know: Katherine Lee Bates was inspired to write "America the Beautiful" after standing atop Pikes Peak.)

I've been to the top of Pikes Peak. I lived in Denver, CO for 2 1/2 years. My daughter was born there. I LOVE the photo. Thanks for sharing.

@teamfreak16 Well, I've lived in Virginia for several years and have not been to Mt. Vernon, which is the home of George Washington. I had planned to go last year but had some health problems. There are, in fact, lots of places that I have not been in Virginia.
I've been to 25 different countries and 44 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, but there are many places that I have not been.

That's a really breathtaking view. I am so looking forward to my vacation in December because I'm going to have an awesome view of the sunset by the beach again. I just hope it doesn't rain though.

If you look to the upper right the clouds look like cotton candy colors to me (pink & blue). I bet it would take quite a while to hike up and down that mountain.
