It depends on what you do, how hard you work, how much you want to earn - many different factors. If you work hard enough, yes it is possible.

@mitu88 I do freelance writing now and yes I found the opportunity online. Previously I wrote for a pay-per-article site too but the site is no longer active, I earned quite a lot there though.

Yes you are correct I have been trying since 6 month till now not got the success.May be lack of hard work or somethingelse still m in search of success

I think it can be done but it could take many years before you can make enough to be able to pay all your bills with the income you make with your writing. You'd also need to write at various places before finding the right fit for you. It's not something you can expect to do right away without working anywhere else.
It's best to search out places you can place your writing while you're working in the hopes that one year, down the road you'd be able to do more with writing than anything else.

I used to work online writing articles years ago and made excellent money Doing so but they went out of business that first year and I have yet to find another job like that one. Those jobs are not easy to find. If anyone could help me, I'm an excellent creative writer and I would love to freelance as well.
Survey sites won't give you an income to live on but it will help you get over the rough spots. Diligence and perseverance are key to your attitude in pursuing this.

It depends on what work you do and how much you earn from it. If you earn pretty good through online work then it is okay. But if you don't earn much ,then you can't depend only on online jobs to earn a living...

I think some have been successful but you really have to be good at what you do and have an ability to reach a large audience. Or you are really savvy about getting smaller portions of income that add up to a substantial amount.

@mitu88 Yeah, There are sites that support different types of online work such as Freelancer.com and Fiverr. Websties to write articles/content include iWriter and Content Gatherer, and Vocal is also a good site.
