Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 77 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. It will be a gorgeous day.
My FitBit didn't wake me up in time to make the gym. I'm pretty disappointed about that. I was looking forward to it. Oh well. I'll be back at it on Monday then.
I have to hang around the house today because the service man is coming to inspect the dishwasher between 11am and 3pm. I bought a brisket and ribs so I'm going to fire up the smoker and also make mac and cheese and lemony cole slaw to go with them since I'll be stuck in the house all day.
What's everyone else up to today?

Staying inside as the temp is supposed to be in the mid-90s today.

@NJChicaa Yes. Happened before. The temp drops into the 80s tomorrow then 70s.

Mac and cheese sounds like a good idea. It is soft enough for Little Miss to be able to eat it too. Maybe I'll grab the hot dogs out of the freezer so we can grill them tonight too.
Hope you get the dishwasher up and running again. I am almost ready to start looking for a good used one for our house. I am really sick and tired of standing in front of a sinkful of dishes night after night.

@NJChicaa I had a used portable one that I bought for $75 and it lasted for about 10 years. Love that old machine. I keep looking on Facebook tag sales for another, but haven't seen one in months.

We have had a light rain overnight which was great, only about 52 degrees here today. We will go to the farmers' market as usual this morning. That lemony slaw sounds great! Is it the dressing you make? Anne loves all things lemon.

Yes. It is a Bobby Flay recipe. I omit the fennel as I hate the stuff.

I'm sorry you missed the gym. I was up late this morning as well, not getting up until 7 which is really late for me, but I did go to bed late last night, so I did get 8 hours of sleep, which is also unusual. Your brisket and ribs sounds good for today. I've never tried lemony cole slaw, but I have had it with pineapple and found it pretty good that way.
My day is going to be laid back. I will probably get some house chores done, now that Scarred and Freedom's Cry are in publishing mode. I might also work on another book.
It is 65 right now, and cloudy. We might get some sun later. We'll see.
I hope you can get the dishwasher fixed.

It is hot here, 90 degrees-ugh. Enjoy your beautiful weather for me! I cleaned a lot this morning, the babies are napping right now so I am Mylotting for a bit. I thought about taking a nap but sometimes I wake up feeling worse than I did before the nap so not doing that.

It is cloudy and we are suppose to get a lot of rain when that tropical depression, Nate, hits. I hope it is not too windy. Today, I am staying home , thinking about what I will cook later.
