Better slow than not at all, right?

The first kitty bed I bought Boobear was when she was about 6 months old, she'd been using Spunky's but she was tiny compared to him.
That first bed was too big for her but she did sleep in it a couple times before she disappeared for naps. I finally figured out she was hiding in the cupboard under the bathroom sink. Since that first bed I've bought her at least 8 more and she never actually liked any of them for very long.
Imagine my surprise when on this last purchase I finally got one she actually likes most of the time. She initiated it by giving it the battle run, which is when she grabs it with her from paws and bites it while kicking it furiously with her back feet. What happened was it flipped upside down and now she's napping under it all the time.
Who knew??
So all it took was for me to find her a kitty cave. Geeeeze, am I slow or what?

Yes she did, she loves her cave. Had I known I could have saved the money spent on the other beds.

rebelann, let me see if I understand. If you would have gotten the last bed you got that she flips over and sleeps underneath it you wished you would have gotten that first, is that correct? You didn't know what she would use. I buy things for my cat that are recommended and she is usually easy to please but the bed I bought her where she climbs in and there is an opening she really did not like. She either sleeps in her bed I had for her that is open or on my bed or on the bean bag in the bedroom. I guess it is trial and error on some things for us to see.

rebelann, sounds like a plan. Sophie is not that fussy. She is happy to have a bed and my bed to sleep on too and the bean bag in the bedroom and the couch. My Mitzi I had before Sophie was very fussy and did not like certain things. The bed I bought Sophie I think she did not like it very much because it could be claustophic even though there is an opening. I gave it to someone to try for her cat and have not heard if she will keep it or try and sell it.

Yep she wanted that dark aspect. She must not like the light when she sleeps.

@rebelann You better watch out. If the pups start acting like her then you will know she has turned them all!!!!

Well at least you're both happy now. In the future if you want to save money buy a small blanket or bath rug or something and work that tent idea. I know pet beds are ridiculously priced.

@rebelann Towels would probably collapse and bath rugs might do the same too, but if you could find some small boxes, like maybe even kleenex boxes or that type of size to lay the warmer side of the rug over, it would keep a portion off the floor but allow some to be near your cat too. That's if you don't find a doll tent or that doesn't work.

Maybe you should get a new cave for her?

I looked for one online but I can't tell if it would be too big for her so I will have to actually go into a store to see if for myself @peachpurple

She has high standards for a kitty cave and this last one finally lived up to what she wants.

Whenever we have had cats...they seem to prefer to lay on my bed...on my spot. My mother told me that even when I was very small the cats always wanted to sleep near me.

I got my first kitty when I was 24, she was beautiful and loving. This one is more like a feral kitty, she likes the pups but unless it's cold out she doesn't sleep too close to me .... then again, I think I probably kick around too much.

She gets cold really easy when the temps drop and the poor lil thing tries to sleep near my feet only I move around a lot when I sleep so she's always displaced. I feel so sorry for her, I wish she'd get along with the other kitties, at least then she'd be warmer.
