NOT what the doctor ordered

Three kalanchoe plants in a pot.

Bob has new prescriptions. We fill our prescriptions at the grocery that gives fuel points in the town where he works. So today we went to fill the prescriptions. While we were waiting, I looked around the store. This plant is what I found. It is actually three Kalanchoe plants, of three different colors, all in one pot. It was reduced to $3.99. It is in a little distress because it has been overwatered. Kalanchoe plants are popular year round. The leaves are succulent. It is easy to start new ones and they bloom a lot. You see them often as potted plants at funerals, too. I love the bright yellow, pert pink and sassy orange of these three. I will likely pot them into separate pots, though. I already have a red one that has survived for years through all kinds of abuse. So, this is not what the doctor ordered. We did get that, as well. This is what I needed to give my life a lift.

I love flowers and better when you can get them reduced. My husband brought home 3 outside flower bushes that he got really cheap and handed them to me. They looked rough he said that of anyone could bring them back I could. They flower every Spring and I love the bright colors. I love the orange in yours!

I have only had this kind of plant once. Yup, I killed the dang thing. Wish I could have saved it. I am usually pretty good with plants.

@GardenGerty I am not sure what happened with it. Do they like more sun or less?

I am glad it is not here yet. I kind of want it to wait until after the pacemaker. It likely will. Weather is still moderate here.

Flowers are great for lifting moods even if it isn't what the doctor ordered.

They're lovely. I know my grandma would live to have them too. She loves to plant and before she has this big tree... But the house was sold and so all the plants and trees she has in there.

I had not noticed them until someone else picked them up and then decided not to get them after all. I snatched those babies up fast.
