My failed MyLot experiment from this morning

Here's what I did: I decided not to post anything, but I went back and commented on all of the comments on my posts that I hadn't gotten to (at least, as many as I could find).
Then I visited Hot Discussions and left multiple comments on said discussions. The I went to Most Recent Discussions and left comments.
Visions of multiple funny responses danced through my head. I was going to be able to bring the delivery date on my MyLot Porsche to 2715. I was going to be a contender!
But I'm just a bum. My experiment failed. I got to engage in some enjoyable conversations, but I was making only a penny an hour.
I decided drastic measures were necessary. I wrote this post. I'm working on speakers and updating progress notes at the same time. I hope to hit the pool soon.
Have you experimented with different methods of approaching MyLot? What seems to work best for you? I can't bring myself to become a cereal poster.

Are you naive? Armageddon HAS come! The Chicago Cubs won the baseball World Series in the United States. That is not supposed to happen. We knew Armageddon was upon us. A few days later, Donald Trump was elected President of the United States. Next, Kim Kardashian will be elected Minister of Good Taste.

Maybe is it a matter of day, I got very low earnings today. Usually my results are similar, maybe a bit higher with a post, but not necessarily : for example Friday I posted 2 discussions, which is very rare for me, and I earned only 1/2 cent more than Saturday where I only responded or commented.

Nope, there is no formula . Sometimes people read and like it, sometimes they don`t.

Not only would I be paper thin but I'd also be a wanderer without shelter. Still boggles my mind how some are able to not only get to five every month but even reach high double digits.

@lovebuglena That boggles my mind too. I think the most I've ever made in one day was around 51 cents, but that's rare.

@spiderdust I don't think I've ever made even close to 51 cents on a given day. Have to check though. So, how someone is able to get to five in one day, and even surpass that by a large amount is puzzling.

I know JJ always explains how the earnings system works but there seems to be no system for boosting earnings. You can knock yourself out and have a worse day than the day you barely tried.

That's true. You can be very active on a given day and earn less than on a day you are hardly active here. It all depends on others.

@TheHorse In real life, I can make family member miserable. Non-stop .."do you love me", "do you hate me", "are you angry at me", etc. Kinda fun to irritate dad that way. Parents never yell at you when you ask silly questions. That is fun! I am sorry you lost yours. I am making most of mine. Some memories to live with either for him or for me.

I usually would do all that is in my notifications first. Then, go one by one to the posts of those who commented on my posts to see what will interest me to read and comment to. After that, I will go to top rated, Interesting discussions and the latest activity.
However, I earn less because I have less time to be in myLot, especially now that I am usually busy at work or my direct selling small time business.

i can't imagine eating cereal while I post either, lol. Wouldn't that be serial poster"? I find that I make a bit more, usually, when I post something new, but until recently I've been posting a lot less than I used to when I was here more often. Maybe not too many people are home right now because even with my two new posts, I've not seen much of an increase and I've been doing a major amount of visiting too. I think I've made more than a penny per hour, but not a major amount more.
Edited to mention, @TheHorse that I think you missed my response here. I was hoping you'd find me a bit funny, do you know why?

@DaddyEvil I just mentioned something to him about how my responses get missed when I comment on the responses others give, but I don't know whether he will find this one too or not.
When you say you're curious, are you curious about what I think is funny? If so, I think I make it rather plain in my first sentence withe the question following as a specific response to his last line.

@TheHorse I was referring to my actual response here which is the first one of this thread. When I made that comment on your other post a few days ago, it was this very post I was talking about.
I mentioned your 'cereal' posting idea. Did you realize you spelled that incorrectly? My comment reflected that, which I thought was a bit funny, but most seemed to read right over it. *(both your spelling and my own).

I logged into mylot today and saw I had made 5 cents today without being on here. There are days when I am on here being active and don't make that much. Makes no sense to me why that is.

Well, this one seemed to do quite well. I have no idea what the answer is, but see you got a lot of responses. Mentioning MyLot in the title seems to help.
