What would you do?

There is a particular doctor I see once a year. It is a heart specialist. He has his main office in Atlanta and he has 3 satellite offices that he travels to monthly. One of those satellite offices is in my town. Each year for many years now, I see him in that office in my town. (once a year check up visit).
I have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow at 11 am. But, one month ago, they called saying they would no longer be traveling to my town. All the patients in my town would now have to travel to one of the other towns he visits. This town is a 40 minute drive.
I was upset about that. But, I said ok to them. I was fully willing to do it, but now I am having second thoughts. We are having heavy rain due to Tropical Storm Nate today. And from what I have been reading, there will be more rain tomorrow.
In normal sunny weather, I am nervous driving to a town 40 minutes away that I don't normally drive to, but with the threat of rain, I am really nervous about going.
What would you do, go to the appointment in a town you are not familiar with , with the threat of bad weather, or would you call and cancel and schedule it for another time. Or would you just not go and not call and if they call about it, tell them you just forgot about the appointment?

Knowing me, I'd be upset about it but, then I'd go to the appointment anyway.

@LeaPea2417 But, with a heavy rain, this would make me think twice about going.

@LeaPea2417 Before you know it, it is already the 23rd. Time flies so fast especially when you are always busy.

I'd call and reschedule. But with tomorrow being a "holiday" in most states, I'm surprised you have a doctors appointment.

Yes, I'll call and reschedule. I almost forgot it was a holiday tomorrow. That means no mail for the post offices will be closed.

I don't like to drive in bad weather anymore especially on the highway and so I would call and cancel and book another appointment. So what did you decide?

I would reschedule. If it's due to bad weather I'm sure they won't have trouble rescheduling it for you.

I did get it rescheduled. I am thinking about getting a new one, but for the time being I will continue to go to this one.

Hm that's a tough one -- I think I would go if at all possible so I wouldn't have to keep worrying about the appointment. Depends on what conditions you feel safe driving though. Hope it goes well!
