Its weird for some, Its yucky to many, Its eww to some But for a few people its an exotic food which got delicious taste. Have you ever tried eating meat of the frog? I prefer it to be deep fried and then dipped to vinegar with sliced of white onions with a little bit of salt. Another good recipe for frog meat is cooking it with coconut milk. Oh boy this really taste good in ginitaan. Of course if you don't want exotic food this will never appear in your table. Photo is mine.

I am half Ilocana and half Bicolana. That is why I like Ilocano foods those like that frog. I remember the last time I was able to taste a fried frog and adobong frog, was in my college days when I went to Aritao, Nueva Viscaya for a vacation. My cousin cooked that and it's so delicious! Here in Bicol, we don't have that kind of frog here nor they cook a dish out of those frogs.

Well, I think you should visit your other province sometimes, he he, to have this exotic food. You should try this in coconut milk since you are Bicolana, it will suite to your taste.

@ilocosboy I actually like the Ilocano dishes more than the Bicolano foods. I don't like those foods with coconut milk. They taste too rich to my palate. But dinengdeng and pinakbet are my favorites. Sometimes my mother or my sister would do pinapaitan though not goat because we don't have goat meat sold at markets here, unless one would butcher a goat. I love pinapaitan so much. Hubby likes it too.

@SIMPLYD Really you love pinapaitan, hmm, so I guess you also love sinanglaw. Pinapaitan can also be cow's premium meat or carabao and of course the goat's meat. Pinapaitan is common here, you can find a restaurant just selling pinapaitan and sinanglaw in the morning, until 10AM, after that, they close for the next day.

Never tried eating frog... But some told me it's really delicious, and I really wanted to taste one. If only I could catch some street frogs and cook it, but of course I can't do that. It should be palakang bukid right...

yucky! Nope I cannot accept any weird looking animal on my dinner plate. Snails, snakes, frog, bee, grasshoppers.... these are not to be eaten. I wouldn't want a bull frog in my tummy and go "ribit , ribit " the whole day....

bullfrog is not edible, frogs from ponds and ricefields are edible, well maybe, that is why this is an exotic food, only few people would really love it.

I've tried it before, grilled frog legs, it was quite yummy actually. The worst I'd experience with frog recipe is when I was invited to a spring resort own by a friend of mine. They cook the frog "paksiw". you can literally identified it as a frog since it has its complete parts except the internal organ, they don't even bother to chop it or skinned it. I couldn't even force myself to eat it .

Ha ha, that is not the worst recipe of frogs, the worst one for me is the unskinned frogs then cook it into boil together with other vegetables like string beans, squash among others.
