Because it become a beautiful kind of pottery art. Just like this one I took of photo from one exhibits, the deformed pots look so beautiful and worth to be a good decor now. I think this kind of pots are more sellable than those in perfect form because it easy our eyes can be caught by it. Do you think this kind of pottery is worth it to be displayed in our homes? I took the photo

Yes, I like it that way. So artistic and nice looking. Not the usual shape so it's beautiful.

@ilocosboy Interesting that a deformity now becomes a beauty. I hope it is the same with a deformed face.

@SIMPLYD I think we just need to appreciate and see the beauty in it, whether by pots or by face.

I once watched it and the maker made the perfect form of the pot and while it is still wet the maker press the side that it wanted to deformed and that it, it hardened in the sun and then put on display.

To have excavated many pottery kilns, I can tell you that these deformed pots were dropped and not sold. They would have liked to have a client like you.

@ilocosboy I love art and this sort of thing is right up my street. Actually, there really is quite a well known potter just up the road from me, but he does these huge bowls churches often use as baptismal fonts. They are pretty famous.

It was actually intended to be like that. The maker made it to perfect shape then pressed that side to look like that.

I like the ones that are in the background with the wavy lines. Why not to have pottery like that? Not all perfect things are that nice either. Great photo.
