I have known and met a few famous people in my life. What about you? Have you seen, met or know any famous movie stars, singers, entertainers or is there anyone that you would be thrilled to meet? Tell us the story? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Going to a concert of Frank Sinatra and Paul Anka together on the same stage was truly unforgettable. Featured in the video is my good friend that I have known for decades is Lorraine Klaasen.

have been to a couple of concerts. but never met the people in person. i do have a funny story. I used to tell the younger kids, after they were grown that my oldest son was my shame as he belonged to Elvis well they actually believed me for a while. then i laughed and told them the truth. but it was a funny joke that they fell for at the time

I have met many guitarists not only at concerts but at grocery stores and public events they were not involved in. I think I've met at least 30 of them and talked a bit with most of them. I have a huge book of ticket stubs from concerts I've been to that includes some autographs and guitar picks I've been given. I remember one meeting in particular when my youngest son was in second grade. He was interested in music and already starting to play guitar a bit. I took him out of school to go meet Ted Nugent at a sporting goods store where he was promoting something, I forget what. Ted is a huge fan of bow hunting and an expert at it. So he was giving a demonstration of bow hunting. He knelt down and sat my son on his knee and guided him through shooting an arrow into the target, talked to him a couple of minutes about music and gave him one of his personalized guitar picks. He was so gentle and gracious to my son! My son was awe struck and it really made him feel special.

@1hopefulman Oh my, there are so many!! Free for All, Cat Scratch Fever, Stranglehold are the ones that come to mind first. He's very political, though. I remember going to one of his concerts and after a few great songs he took about 3 minutes telling the audience that if they don't vote they have no right to complain about how things are going. Go vote, make a difference whatever your beliefs, and God bless America. The concert continued and a good time was had by all. He's a big believer in taking control of your life rather than let others drive you.

@dragon54u Well, every one has their views. When I go to a concert I'm going there for the music and not their views on other subjects. If you could have supper with any famous person whom would you choose?

Why haven't you told us which celebs you've seen or met? Do you want to keep it a secret? I saw Queen Elizabeth II when she got off the train at Balmoral, Scotland, for her summer hols at her castle there. She was accompanied by Prince Philip and her children Charles and Anne. The others weren't born yet. That was in the year 1964.

Does it counts ? I saw de Gaulle at a balcony when I was 5 or 6 years old, but it is not meeting and knowing somebody. I remember a guy telling to a court that he was knowing me. Well, I had forgotten that we had met once 15 years before and discussed 10 mn, it is not what I call "knowing somebody".

I missed meeting Sinatra when some friends got to go to Capitol Records one night back in 1957. I had to work in the grocery store. Bill Medley (Righteous Bros) was in my grad class at Santa Ana High(CA).

@1hopefulman We started talking online. I commented on one of his old youtube videos back in 2006 and we started talking from there. But I was getting bullied a lot online and I was also going through a really rough time and decided to stop talking to him. I still chat with his parents though, they love me haha

When I was in the country not that long there was a movie that made here and I was an extra. We had David Soul here and he was a real jerk. Sir Lawrence Oleai was here and he had to do some many retakes because he could not remember his lines. I would love to meet Harrison Ford. I like him very much. I forgot that I went to a concert once too.

I've been to a few concerts - Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Carmen. I've met and shook hands with Charles Stanley. I've also seen some Televangelists in person at a seminar, but never got close enough to really say hi to them. However, I was privileged to sit next to Phyllis Dillars doctor on the plane to boot camp. The closest I've been to anyone famous.
