Unless you are physically limited to walk, maybe you can do this... Do you hate to exercise? Do you find excuses? Do you think people will laugh at you, the weather is too bad, afraid of neighborhood dogs, can't find the spare minutes, etc.? The perfect thing for you is in-home walking, with Leslie Sansone, of Walk Away The Pounds fame. You can buy her DVDs at your local WalMart or even on-line: walkathome.com You not only just walk in-place. She has various movements to go along with the walking. She is very funny, very upbeat and the music is catchy. Her personality makes you want to finish that mile. In some DVDs, she is alone and in some with a group of people. Mostly women walk with her but occasionally a man or two. She calls women her "sisters in sweat". The DVDs come in 1 mile all the way up to 5 miles. There are tons to choose from. I hope you find this inspiring and helpful!

She also has a number of videos on YouTube. They are great workouts that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home. I highly recommend them.

Me, my mom and her friend were walking using one of her walking cd's. It was fun doing it and it really was a workout. I would like to start walking with her again.

@Spontaneo I do do that - and I've been outside raking leaves for hours so I guess that can count too.

Hello, and how are you? I love to exercise and I am not looking for excuses. I am going to the gym 2 years for now and I mostly go by myself without companions. I don't understand people who don't want to go alone, or they are shy or anxious to go to the gym or any public training place. I am always trying to encourage people to exercise, it is very healthy and it can many people cure depression or bad mood. I didn't believe that too but when I started going to the gym every other day I started feeling that is not only my new hobby (I didn't even have hobbies at that period) but it is my way of life. I started feeling better and now I can't think about stopping it. So, I hope this will encourage at least one person and I hope that many people will see it. Good luck and have a great week everyone.
