Saturday October 7th was our grandson Jude's third Birthday. He has grown up so much, in the past year! Last summer, we took him to the Paul Bunyan Festival in Oscoda and Jude had a leash on his back, to keep him from taking off into the crowd! He isn't afraid of anything, so we had to keep a very close eye on him that evening. Safety, being our first priority! We had fun with his family, our oldest granddaughter, Taylor and her husband, Bryan. Today, I drove to Oscoda, to deliver Jude's belated Birthday card and gift. We got him a soft, yellow smiley face pillow, a large bag of plastic building blocks, and a cute teddy-bear picture for his bedroom wall. His family just moved into a new home, so Jude feels privileged to have his very own room, which he really enjoys! They weren't at home, so I just left the bag of things in their screened-in back porch, for when he gets home.

@kobesbuddy me either. I think it's wrong, and embarrassing. Parents should be able to tame their kids without. I've babysat over 20kids since i was 10, never had a too tough time with kids trying to take off that one would be needed. Teach kids right and have patience.

@Courtlynn Just remember, some people never discipline their children. Thus, they act wild and don't mind anyone. These are the same kids that get hit by a car or something else tragic happens to them. Kids are suppose to learn to mind, at a young age. My parents only spoke to us and we did what they asked. Jude has never had to mind, ever. I babysat kids for many years and never once had behavioral issues to deal with. I don't understand what has changed, but parenting is the problem, not the kids!

@kobesbuddy Yeah, I know that. I have one little devil in my house. :D It is a son of my brother and he is so rude sometimes and doesn't behave well most of the times. Still, he is so cute and I can't imagine him as a silent and peaceful kid. He is great just the way he is.
