They mean well

Last night, in the middle of half not listening to hubby and a friend chat, I peeked at Facebook.
We were five hours or so across the state from our place at the time. So I peeked at Facebook. Our dear Chocolate mini horse had done it again. He'd gotten out of his pasture, gone to visit the neighbor mare and it sounds like he um, dumped a mini horse load in a person's driveway.
So last night I discovered via Facebook that there is a neighborhood watch in my corner of the world. That Watch Group was all lit up about a "pony wandering the neighborhood."
Kind of gave me the giggles. Kind of irritated me. Nobody there had done a darned thing about the starving kitten thing but oh Lordy, pony out wandering around!! Lit up and yakking a mile a minute.
Hubby dug around until he found the person who was asked to peek at our place while we were gone. He found his phone number. Person went over and found Chocolate having a little romantic chatter with our neighbor mare. Person clipped a rope on him and made him go home. He tied him to the fence near water and told him to quit with the wandering around.
I found Chocolate in good shape when I got home. Lets see what other excitement is on Facebook now?? (Why DID the chicken cross the road?? To see where Chocolate was?)

Closer to town there is a street that had ponies wandering around, seem we all like them and nothing is ever said.

@andriaperry Little Chocolate could have been hit by a fast moving farm truck and perhaps caused the truck damage though he is about the size of a large dog. They meant well but they sure come across as ninny gossips.

@sallypup LOL, if I would have seen him out I would have lead him back home. That is just crazy of them.

@andriaperry I agree. One of them drove onto our property when we were gone so yeah, they could have gone one step further and led him home. I hate folks trespassing but they of course meant well.

Glad it all came out okay. Chocolate needs somebody to hang out with I think.

@celticeagle You're right and I am not sure what to do about that.

@sallypup ......I just hate hearing of animals left to themselves with no one to hang out with. Maybe a buddy like a dog or other animal.

@celticeagle I've thought about a goat but then the danged goat would get out and cause a ruckus!! The neighbor mare is just across the fence from Chocolate but I suppose that is not good enough for him.

Such an active adventurous pony your Chocolate is He probably would think twice about doing that if he knows Facebook exists.

@cahaya1983 You're right. I ought to bring the computer down to him and show him how he got to be a celebrity.

Sounds as if Chocolate is a wanderer. I am glad he was found safe and sound.
